5 Day Challenge Day #5
Wow! Has it been a week already? I sure hope that you have enjoyed the challenges as much as I have! Today is day #5 and I have one more challenge for you!
I am calling today's challenge "Tearing It Up!" You guessed it...we are tearing paper today! Weeee!
You are going to need:
- a base piece of cardstock to work on
- several pieces of patterned paper or cardstock (scraps would work great too!)
- the courage to rip your paper into pieces
Let's get started!

Ok, time to call on that courage! This part is tough for some folks and I totally get it! I was afraid to try it too, but now it is much less scary for me! Time to start tearing your paper! You can start slow and just tear one piece or you can tear several and layer them. I have found that the slower you go when tearing the closer to a straight line you will get. You can experiment on a few pieces and see which look you like the best.

After I tore my pieces I ruffled up the torn edge of each one by running my finger nail along it to give it more of a tattered look.

Once I decided how many pieces I wanted to tear I layered them on my base piece and started adding other elements to my page.

I added a whole matted square on top of my torn paper and decorated that. The torn paper kind of blends into the background, but adds a little bit of visual interest.
Here is my finished page with an example of using torn paper. I added a simple border and a little bit of stamping to finish the look.

Well, that wraps up our 5 day challenge!
Thank you so much for spending the week with me and playing along! I had the best time!
I am so excited to see all of your challenge pages! Be sure to share them in the 5 Day Challenge thread. You can find that below.
Have a wonderful day! I will see you soon!
Big hug,
AnnMarie
